The 2nd Annual Korean Textile and Fabric Showcase 2014 Set to Return to NYC and Online

26 Jun The 2nd Annual Korean Textile and Fabric Showcase 2014 Set to Return to NYC and Online

The Korean Textile & Fabric Showcase returns to feature 13 of the top Korean textile suppliers through a virtual fabric showcase and the New York City showroom

The 2nd annual Korean Textile and Fabric Showcase 2014; a highly anticipated event hosted by Korea International Trade Association (KITA), is set to make its return through both the online and physical New York City showrooms once again.

Followed by the huge success from last year’s event, the Korean Textile and Fabric Showcase 2014 will once again enable buyers of garments & home textiles, designers, product development teams, merchandisers and sourcing professionals to gain exclusive and direct access to 13 of the top textile and fabric suppliers from Korea along with their high quality product lines for potential future business opportunities.

“We are extremely excited to host the Korean Textile & Fabric Showcase event once again to further develop trade opportunities between the U.S. and Korea textile industries,” stated Hyun Chul Kim, President of KITA New York.

Korean textile suppliers’ continuous research and development of new textiles, colors, and patterns having been feeding the steady demand in the U.S market. Furthermore, KORUS, the recent Free Trade Agreement between Korea and U.S. began to eliminate custom duties on textile products from Korea, where the number of qualifying textiles has increased even more in 2014.

“The goal of our events is to continue the growth as well as becoming an important component of the supply chain for the U.S. fashion and home textile industries,” said Kim. “Moving away from the more traditional trade show strategies; we were able to realize the success and effectiveness of this type of event last year which made the continuation of the Korean Textile & Fabric Showcase this year not only logical, but a necessity in promoting excellent Korean textiles.”

The virtual exhibition will be opened to participants from all over the U.S. from June 25, 2014 to July 11, 2014. The physical New York Showroom will run from June 26, 2014 to July 3, 2014. Attendees in the New York City area can visit the showroom and experience the latest textiles and fabrics in person. Admission is free. However, pre-registration is mandatory.
